Five years ago, I came to ceremony carrying years of addiction, self-doubt, and feeling disconnected from myself. Today, I am five years substance-free after a 16-year addiction, have completed my first year of nursing school with a 4.0 GPA, and am building healthy, authentic relationships in ways I never thought possible. While the work has ultimately been my own, these ceremonies helped me reconnect with who I am and align my life with the intentions I set. I am deeply grateful for the guidance and space to grow—and for helping me find my way back home.

I came to ceremony carrying the weight of close to four decades in intensive-care settings and the emotional burden I carried from that work. With Merrill’s assistance, I entered with a clear intention to step peacefully and powerfully into the next phase of my life. The experience was deeply cathartic. I felt a powerful release of physical and emotional tension, along with a renewed sense of joy, lightness, and connection. In the months since, that shift has remained with me. My visits to ADM initiated changes that continue to touch my ordinary life in deeply practical ways. I feel kinder, more patient, more connected to nature and to others, and more peaceful in the face of life’s stresses. I wake with gratitude and a sense of joy, wondering how I will continue to expand.

My intention was to remember who I really am, and that intention was fulfilled completely. I felt held in a sacred space of guidance, love, and deep remembrance. I am still vibrating with gratitude, with the sense that everything is sparkling and love is everywhere.

This was the most profound experience I have had with any medicine. I see this work as having an important role in the larger shifts needed on our planet. Offering this kind of initiation with strict confidentiality feels essential.

The circle was a profound experience that still reverberates through my mind daily. It has made me think deeply about how I act and interact with the world around me. More than anything, I feel a greater sense of connection to everything.

As an avowed atheist with a scientific background, I was surprised to have what I can only describe as a truly religious experience. Merrill’s guidance helped me rediscover a deep love for others and a desire to live with more empathy, generosity, and awareness.
